CUSTOM WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

WNC Parade of Homes

Description: The Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains’ Parade of Homes (BABRM POH) is an annual event showcasing new and remodeled homes in the Asheville and Hendersonville areas. With approximately 25-30 participating builders each year, the event has been a longstanding fall tradition. However, the existing website suffered from poor navigation, lack of consumer focus, and inadequate functionality, especially for virtual visitors. In response to the evolving needs of the event and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, our company was tasked with redesigning and developing a new website that would enhance the consumer experience, increase online participation, and serve as a robust marketing tool for builder and partner engagement.

Project: Our team embarked on a comprehensive overhaul of the WNC Parade of Homes website to address the specific business needs and objectives outlined by the Builders Association. Leveraging our expertise in custom web design and development, we employed a user-centric approach to ensure that the new website not only met but exceeded expectations.

Key Features and Solutions Implemented:

  • User-Centric Design: We prioritized the user journey and experience, focusing on intuitive navigation and visually appealing design elements to enhance engagement.
  • Enhanced Functionality: Utilizing Custom Post Types (CPT), Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and grid builder, we implemented robust search and filtering functionality, allowing consumers to easily find projects of interest to them.
  • Consumer Connection: We incorporated a welcome message, POH history, vision, mission, and an FAQ section to build a deeper connection with consumers and provide valuable information.
  • Marketing Integration: The website was designed to serve as a powerful marketing tool, featuring sections for sponsor logos and information, as well as listings of participating builders with contact details and success stories.
  • Accessibility and Security: Following best practices for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), we ensured the website was accessible to most users, while implementing robust security measures to prevent malware attacks and hackers.

Result:
The launch of the revamped WNC Parade of Homes website marked a significant milestone in the event’s digital presence, driving tangible results and exceeding expectations:

  • Increased Online Participation: The new website generated a surge in online attendance, with a marked increase in traffic and engagement metrics.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Consumers reported improved satisfaction with the website’s design and functionality, resulting in longer time spent on site and higher levels of interaction.
  • Builder and Partner Engagement: The website served as a valuable platform for builder and partner participation, fostering stronger connections and showcasing success stories.
  • Improved Data Capture: Through strategically placed call-to-actions and user-friendly forms, we successfully captured user data, including email addresses, facilitating ongoing communication and engagement.
  • Compliance and Security: The website’s accessibility and robust security measures minimized exposure and risk, ensuring a safe and accessible online environment for all users.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, the collaboration between our team and the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains’ Parade of Homes resulted in a transformative digital experience that not only met but exceeded the project’s objectives. The new website not only provided a consumer-focused platform for the event but also served as a powerful marketing tool, driving increased participation, engagement, and satisfaction. Moving forward, the website stands poised to continue its success, serving as a cornerstone of the Parade of Homes’ digital strategy for years to come.
